Happy spring beauties! One of my girlfriends recently did an awesome half-moon mani on herself so I gave it a try myself! I love Emily’s mani from Cupcakes & Cashmere so that was my inspiration.
This was my first attempt at it and it came out pretty well, although next time I may use french manicure stickers or reinforcement binder stickers, as seen here, to get a better half-moon shape.

Here’s how I did it!
-
Step 1: On clean, bare nails, apply the glitter polish in a half-moon shape at the base of your nail until you have the desired shape & amount of glitter. You can try using your fingernail to shape the glitter into half-moons if not using stickers. (Try dabbing excess glitter polish on a paper towel when doing this so it doesn’t get goopy.)
- Once glitter half-moons have dried, take your second polish and apply on the bare part of the nail, making sure it doesn’t overlap the glitter.
- Apply 2 coats, waiting 2 minutes between each coat.
- Applyour top coat. I used Seche Vite.
